Doesn't this make you want to do the LA Marathon!!??!?!?

I always get asked how I got to Cali. It actually wasn't planned, I came out on a vacation and ended up loving it so I stayed. I fortunately started out living with my aunt and uncle for awhile, which I am extremely thankful for. They supported me while I was job hunting and also helped me find my way around. What an amazing opportunity that I'm so thankful I took advantage of.

I love being from SD, but I have no desire at the moment to move back. I am very satisfied with the life style I lead here and it's hard to picture myself back in a slow-paced environment. A lot of who I am is contributed to being from SD and of course, all my family lives there, so I do miss if for that reason mostly.

I have the amazing opportunity to live in a beautifully active state. I have hiked, run a marathon (training for #2 currently), surfed, sailed, been to Hollywood, and met many amazing and different types of people. These are just a few of the great opportunities that I have taken advantage of since I have been here. I am planning a road trip with my brother in March, which I am looking forward to very much!

Anyway, I can't say how lucky I am to have all the experiences I have had so far. I really believe in the power of positive thinking and taking advantage of all the opportunities that come my way. I am starting this blog partially because I have become complacent and need to remember all the things I am grateful for and also I need to remember to push my boundaries!
